We’ll be kicking off the month of September with a scale challenge for the high school students—here are the details:

Each student will play five random major scales (2 octaves- or three, if required) at each lesson (drawn from a bowl)— 5 points will be possible for each scale. Students will lose one point for each note missed in the scale. A maximum of 25 points may be earned per lesson.

At the end of September, the student with the most points will be crowned the studio scale champion and earn a prize!

Our clarinet studio welcomes a few new students this fall -  give a warm welcome to Silvia, Jocelyn, Debbie, Kye and Bria! 

Everyone is busy with marching band season, but make sure you take some time to sit down with your scales—you don’t want to be in a scale panic when District Band auditions come around!
